Don't look now, but Alfredo Aceves [A2] just got promoted to SWB.

Well I guess management is getting ready for plan B when Ponson doesn't work out.

I've heard somewhere that Ian's almost ready, and I thought that he would be in the mix for Friday, but I guess we're allowing him to come back in less of the limelight than a Subway Doubleheader [man, what a marketing opportunity! Subway - where's Jared?]

Andrew, ya got a point there....!

The only threw 50 someodd pitches in the last game he was in. I heard they were going to take it slower in bringing him back. He is supposed to get 3 or 4 games in Scranton before they would think of recalling him. I think this is a smart move. Kennedy needs to get back to dominating in the minors and bring up that confidence to the majors.

Aceves might get a call up to replace Rasner. After these past few games Ras has shown he isn't really the answer. Aceves has a decent amount of experience and if he does well in Scranton he will see time in the majors.

Want to hear something really surprising? "DL Carla" might be ready to come back before Hughes! At this point, I'd take him. Even though he will probably get injured again.

The Yankees really need to see about making some kind of move. Without Wang the rotation is taking a bigger hit than just trying to cover for the two kids. This is a tough stretch, and doesn't look very promising.

Interesting. I thought Kennedy was close to being ready and I thought the Yanks would go to him but I guess not. What's crazy is he should have been in the minors earlier this year, now when they need him, he's not ready. But that's all Monday morning quarterbacking, I guess.

I hope Aceves takes Ponson's spot and not Rasner's. I know Rasner's a hot or cold type of pitcher but he's only been cold 3 times (Twins, A's, Pirates).

We'll see if the Yankees make a veteran addition. I've been thinking of Joe Blanton for a while but he's had a rough go of it of late.

There are other options.

Sabathia's going to be traded. I wouldn't recommend it but maybe Cashman (and, alas, Hank) decide to pay the price.

Freddy Garcia's out there, too. Coming back from injury. A lot of teams interested. Maybe the Yanks can open their checkbook and win that race.

Would Freddy cost us a draft pick?
If it's only money... ;-)
