Second of the day for Sterling, as he FSGSC's on a fly ball by Travis Hafner with two outs in the 9th. Melky caught it and quickly tossed it in the stands.

Sterling, 4/19, on a fly by Swisher off the center field wall.

He's on a roll now.

And I thought I had poor depth perception, but at least I'm not calling games for the New York Yankees!

4/18: Matsui hits one high, far, and off the top of the wall for a double. It would've given the Yankees the lead, too.

5/1: Teixeira's fly is caught at the wall by Torii Hunter.

5/9: A-Rod nearly makes it 3-in-a-row for the Yankees in the top of the 5th. Sterling wasn't quite as sure on this one and came out of his call earlier than usual, but I think it still qualifies. Figured I'd better post it, since Karl is on a train.

Thanks for filling in, Rob!

Sterling, 5/14, on a fly by Damon in the first inning that became a double. He sounded a bit uncertain about it, so I wasn't too surprised when the high, far fly ended up being off the top of the wall.

5/16, fly ball by Matsui in the 8th inning. Sterling called it a homerun, but it was actually a ground rule double. The ball bounced over the wall.

That does count, right? :)

Of course it counts, this being the "False Sterling Home Run Call" thread. And oooh, I wanted to strangle him with that one! Well, at least the double ended up a run after all.

Sterling, 5/20, on a first-inning fly by Teixeira that was really an RBI double.

Not too surprising, considering how well Tex has been hitting lately.

Sterling, 5/26, on an RBI double by Matsui that just hit the top of the wall. Would've tied the game, too.

Sterling, 6/12, on a fly by Teixeira that was caught at the right field wall.

He actually went quite some time there without one. I'm mildly impressed, or maybe just not listening often enough.

Stepping on your toes, Karl.

6/14, bottom of 4th vs. Mets, Cabrera doubles off the wall. Sterling was calling it all the way until it hit the wall.

Unfortunately, Melky tried to go to 3rd and got thrown out.

Thanks, Rob!

I didn't catch the game, but I watched the video highlights and definitely wondered if that fly by Melky was an FSHRC.

6/25/09: Sterling FSHRCs in Atlanta on a foul shot by Teixeira
