Bases loaded last inning, with no outs, and they come away with but 1 run. Inexcusable. The offense has slept their way to just 3 runs, when they should have double that. And Joba can't get through an inning without walking a batter or two.

Residue from recent struggles to get clutch hits. "Recent" being recent years?

Yeah, since about October of 2004, I would say.

Pete Abe, posting what I was thinking:

Quote:
Cano leads off two innings and gets hits. Then he comes to the plate with two on and whiffs.

Bases loaded again. And...nothin'.

0-9 RISP.

According the YES announcers, the bullpen is the Mariners' strength. Don't want to get into a late inning battle with them.

Oops.

Nothing like prime time helping the pitcher out at-bats. This is exactly what happens when the pitcher makes you swing at his pitch and you not making him come in with a good pitch by swinging at bad pitches. A joke that keeps on making me laugh.

Game 4 exactly??? It's a choke team we have.

Tonight is like Sunday's game. Lowish scoring, yet really dragged out.

Personally, I'd go back to Game 4 in 03. I just remember heaps and heaps of stranded baserunners. That was the first time they'd ever really done that.

And Cano leading an off an inning isn't good because it means that A-Rod is making the last out of the previous inning. So they should move them as far apart as possible! :)

Was that the first 1-2-3 inning for a Mariners pitcher?

Yeah, not sure we can get any more blue in the face with that idea. Guess Girardi doesn't read little forums like YFU to finally know what to do with his lineup.

Yeah, I try not to beat dead horses, but there is an example in pretty much every game as to why Cano should not be batting 5th.

0-10 RISP.

Maybe we should change that abbreviation to "RIP".

Well, you're blue in the face because you're a moderator. I'm more of a red Fred.
