Sorry--that must be frustrating.
Not good for folks like us who have tempers, huh?
Hope it gets resolved for you somehow.

Nah, we just break something and curse, and all is happy again ;-)

I had that once, but it was after it took a while for the site to try and move ahead. I attributed it to that, but I did ask about it. I'm still waiting on the admins to respond.

Just curious to know if you have similar problems on your work computer.

Couldn't get the site to come up at all before today on my work computer. Not even www.freeforums.org

404 errors. Today, for whatever reason... it came up.

Trons. My modem was down for a couple of hours and my laptop insisted my ethernet card was hosed. What miracles are accomplished by re-starting!!

So far the response I am getting for those who are having troubles with being logged out is to ask that they clear their cache and cookies. The other thing asked is if you have a web accelerator.

They said to once you do that to send a PM to someone. Not quite sure what that has to do with anything, but I guess its worth a shot.

I had tracked down some additional codes to put into the system. (This entailed getting an editor for writing code, some experimentation, and making a few back ups). This code is supposed to help out with the logging out issue.

I also added a Shout or Chat box to the index page. This is meant mainly for during the games, no need to refresh for comments to come up, I am thinking of moving it to the home page (another addition I made last week) in an effort to keep the index page able to load faster. The home page is actually a portal, so adding the chat box there will not cause delays to the rest of the site.

The chat box is actually from another company, so for comments the box links to a different location.

Anyway, let me know if the changes I made have any impact, positive or negative, on how things are for you on this site.

Working hard so you don't have to.

I like the chat box. Home page makes sense. You're doing great, OG.

They are working on figuring out what is causing that problem. Other sites keep getting it from time to time as well. They believe there is something in their code that is doing it.

If you get it again, can you copy the display you get and post it here?

Seems problems are back. Each time I try to post a comment, or to move to another topic, my PC says "Problems with Web server".

I hope this doesn't mean we'll have to get started again. Because that would mean some days not in touch with all of you.
