Some people have mentioned that they had some trouble. This part of the forum is set up so anyone can post here, so if you are having trouble logging on, you can post here.

In order to help you better, please make sure you let me know your log in name, the trouble you are having, and any other information you might think of that will give me what I need to get things squared away for you. Such as computer operating system, browser type.

You can also post here if you are having trouble finding your way with the different controls here. I might not have all the answers, but I should be able to find out the answers eventually for you.

I really appreciate all who come here. I want to make sure I do all I can to keep this place enjoyable.

OG, it keeps randomly logging me out. I post something, then all of a sudden I have to enter my name and pass again.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but, as you can imagine, I have little patience for this. It's really driving me up a wall.

Eileen was having that problem, and she hasn't been back.

I had thought it was just for the time period she was on here, which was right at the timeframe that they were upgrading their servers and had a software problem.

I will check to see from them what could cause logging out right after a post. I will put it on this thread as well as email you.

I noticed you also said something about having to scroll left to right for some posts. I haven't had that problem either. I played around with my settings for my browser and can't get it to do that, so I will also check on that issue for you.

Sorry you are having some problems here. I will find a way to get them straightened out.

OG, thanks for your help.

I fixed one thing by changing my board format to Subsilver. Now everything looks like it did at the old place. So that's good.

One more thing, though: occasionally, it won't allow me to post. It tells me "Invalid Session." I don't know if it's connected to the random log-outs or not.

It shouldn't be giving you invalid session, I will check on that issue for you as well. I think the subSilver also cuts down on the load up. Its a bit less with the boarder and gradients.

Yeah, for whatever reason, I didn't think there were format options. I guess Subsilver isn't the default. Mine was on Sith or something weird.

Much better

Oh, about the invalid sessions, it just gave me one on the last post.

I hit "disable BBC code" and, it worked that time, but other times that doesn't work.

Weird.

The BBC is really just the codes you use to do quotes, bold, images and so on. I was reading through some posts that were talking about these type of problems but they all seem to have been from when they were installing the "mirror" server. That was Friday.

As to the Sith setting, I put that on you as I was looking over your settings. Sorry about that. I bet it looked strange for a bit.

Yes, I think that was what made me switch back to the subSilver after the first day.

Maybe I will switch the default to subSilver. While I like the look of Vista, subSilver works faster, less lag.

I installed "Fantastic" the other day just for John because I know that's what he used. But, so far no John. :(

Even Fantasic loads faster than Vista. Vista just had too much with the background graffics.

I'm going to start another topic on the backgrounds.

Yeah, Char, frustrating, but it'll sort itself out, I'm sure.

I am just glad to see everybody again :)

Earth to John!
