Seems problems are back. Each time I try to post a comment, or to move to another topic, my PC says "Problems with Web server".

I hope this doesn't mean we'll have to get started again. Because that would mean some days not in touch with all of you.

The set up of this site is different than the other site. The problem is with keeping the different servers they use in sync. The multiple servers act as backups for the other, if one server is working slow it will create a problem like you are seeing. The host is aware of this problem and believe it to be software driven.

Hey not actually a 'server' problem here, but the chat box on the main forum page is a little (only slightly) annoying.
But when you wheel your mouse down the forums and the cursor hits that chat box, the page stops scrolling and the chat box begins to scroll.

It may get more annoying if things start hopping in the forums below that chat box, but since things are quiet, not too big a deal. Just pointing it out.

actually that chat box only holds about 12 or 15 comments at a time, so if you keep scrolling, once you hit the bottom of the chat comments, it picks up on the page again.

I am very torn about where to place the chat box. I like it for during the game banter that doesn't make sense to archive. If its at the bottom of the page it defeats the main purpose of it, which is to give a quick hello, or initiate chat. Yet when its at the top it creates scrolling problems.

I have a different chat box on the home page, but I don't think that is a great location for a chat box.

I am open to suggestions. One thing I can do is have it where it is a pop up box. If its on the bottom of the screen then, it won't matter as much.

I think the popup box is a good solution.

I'm having some problems trying to upload some pictures of our trip to NY. I'd like to share them with you, but I've tried so many times and it doesn't work. I've checked the size of the pictures, and I think that's not the problem, since I've uploaded some pictures (remember Young Jorge's harem?) bigger than these ones.
Any help?

Hmm...I'm not sure why you'd have problems uploading pictures all of the sudden. You're making sure of this where it says "Add image to post" when clicking on it?

Quote:
You can upload images in following formats: .gif, .jpg, .png, .bmp
File size limit is 4Mb

The only other thing I can think of after asking my daughter, is for you to try using photobucket.com where they automatically give you the [IMG] code and then you can copy and paste the code into your post.

I'll try practicing uploading a picture in a little bit to see if something's up with the site here in regards to not being able to post pictures.

Well, I just uploaded a picture for practice and it worked fine, so it's not the site. I don't know what else to tell you, Jorge. Hopefully you can figure it out because I'd really like to see them!

Thanks, bellezza.

In fact, I've just posted some pictures in the Topic. I've realized that the pictures that were taken by Young Jorge are the ones I can't upload. I don't know why. A shame because I think those are the best. Anyway, I'll keep trying. I've posted some Natalia's pictures. They are pretty good too.
