I don't know, to play devils advocate, maybe if injuries, line up changes, and candy bar issues unnerve a veteran team, we may have the wrong players? Hate the prima donna athlete that vacations in Hawaii for two months in the winter (while some freeze their tail off just to get out of their driveway and get to their $20. and hour factory job) who can't handle a little adversity playing a kids game and eating filet mignon every night. The contrast is startling.
I think it is ridiculous to think that line-up changes or candy bar issues unnerved the team. Injuries didn't unnerve the team, I don't think. They just left us short of the horses we needed (as I've already stated: Wang, Posada, Matsui). Some players mean more than others, and not all of what a player means to a club is measured in statistics.
