Cole was dominating last season. He also pitched over 250 innings, his previous high was 190. That is quite a leap, and seeing how he pitched in the game last night, lower velocity and not very good command, along with the pain he had been feeling, you have to wonder if this is going to be a tough year for him.

The Phillies will have a tough go of attempting to repeat if Cole is down, which means good news for the Mutts.

It will bear watching the next start or two to see if he comes around or if he goes down for a period of time. Without Cole the Phillies are in a heap of trouble.

I'm sure CC will have a strong season, and will be a main part of our return to the play offs.

With the way CC pitched yesterday, I don't see it being the same thing. I know you were joking though, Jorge. The first outing with CC showed lack of control and command, but the speed was there. When pitching speed falls off is when the concern should rise.
