I don't have a problem with (and in fact prefer) looking at inexperienced people--it's just the haphazard way they're going about it, and that they're carrying too many pitchers as it is.

If everything goes right with the starting rotation, then moving Joba back to the pen could make sense. But there are a lot of 'ifs' involved there. And also, what happens when someone (inevitably) gets hurt later this year? Does Joba continue to bounce back and forth without a defined role?

I wouldn't worry about Mo too much either. If you look back over the last few years, April tends to be his worst month; last year was an exception to the norm.

Joba can be a very good starter. There is no reason to waste him in the bullpen. With him, you have to think longterm. The bullpen problem is a short term deal.

With the way the pitching has been going lately, they might have to move Swisher into the rotation just to have someone in there that can their ERA down a bit.

Joba's numbers looking pretty good. His biggest concern is that WHIP. He's got to bring that down a bit.

Joba is still working on some things. He needs to be a little more economical.

Burnett hasn't been all that since coming to the Yankees. CC is settling down well enough. Pettitte is what he is. Hughes has a way to go. Wang still doesn't have it (as we saw tonight).

Believe it or not, in addition to the Joba to the Pen crowd, some folks are actually postulating Wanger as a setup guy. Geez....

With the Wang is pitching he may end up being the Batting Practice pitcher.

The Yankees need to get him straightened out or just put Hughes back in the rotation. Its tough enough suffering through AJ's poor pitching, following up AJ with Wang is giving away two games in a row almost all the time.

It was reported that Chien-Ming Wang's wife was going to have her labor induced on Tuesday if she didn't have the baby before then. It seems Wang might just be a tad tired for his start on Wednesday, no? I mean, are they setting this guy up to fail, pitching the day after your first child is born?! I think the timing is ridiculous, and inducing labor isn't the healthiest thing anyway--it's hard on the mother and baby--makes labor more complicated.

According to Taiwanese culture, bambina, when a child is born he/she brings a gift to the parents.

Let's hope Wang's baby can give him a great outing. Remember he'll be facing Washington. That could help.

Meantime, Bruney's back and Veras has been DFA. Best wishes, V and good luck to B2 :-)
