Yankees up to .267 with RISP for the game after Teixeira's ground out. Much better than the .000 they managed for the first 4 innings.

A-Rod flirted with another. Too bad he didn't get it. Instead, the jerk dropped the RISP average down to .250

Oh, wait. A-Rod was just being a good teammate. He didn't want to hit another homer because that would have taken the save opportunity away from Mo. What a great guy!

#501.

Man, that was a rollercoaster. The Yankees were never behind, but it sure felt like they were on the verge of blowing it several times.

Shamefully, Bruney gets the win. Yuck.

Joba hasn't gotten a win at home yet. Bruney screws it up for him and yet he gets the win. That doesn't seem right.

Oh, my...did I just see the Red Sox/Orioles score right? :D

501, Kay said he's starting on his next 500 - good one!

Chamberlain left the game when it was 3-3. He wouldn't have gotten the win anyway. Hughes would have gotten it. No matter, the Yankee pitcher that least deserved the win got it.

I'm quickly becoming one of those people who say wins are overrated.

The single best part about this Oriole comeback is how the announcers quit joking around like they do on a typical night. Dennis Eckersley is a zillion times better as an analyst than he is as an announcer.

Oh, that's right. That's what I get for cleaning the kitchen while trying to blog and watch the game at the same time. Not the multi-tasker I used to be, I guess.

If wins are overrated, then that means the Sox are the most overrated team in the American League, right? :)

A gift! And to think the Yankees came this close to blowing their game. That would've really scorched me if they had, now that the RS ended up losing theirs.
