Everyone go vote for Mark Teixeira for the All Star Game! I believe he's still behind Yuckilis.

I already did. Maybe I should go vote another 25 times in my wife's name? Then maybe another 25 in each of my brothers' names?

Yet another delay to the game. :? Must be that darn global warming, or something, right?

No it must be A-Rod's fault.

Isn't this the first time the Yankees have trailed the Mariners in this series?

Damn Ichiro. :(

Well, so much for the win streak and sweep. CC sucks tonight.

Thanks for the reminder. Just got done reading this:

Youkilis or Teixeira as All-Star Starter?

Girardi's love fest with Melky and Swisher just cost the Yankees two runs. Gardner would have got to that fly by Ichiro.

Garnder has been on a tear lately, yet he hasn't seen action at all in this series. Girardi is really an idiot some times.

I agree Gardner would've had that. Sometimes Melky looks like he's running in slow motion on purpose just so he can make what would be a pretty decent catch into something more spectacular.

Alright, Matsui! We'll take the cheapie home runs at this point.

Branyan had struck out 7 straight times and 9 times in the series. Sabathia had an 0-2 count on him.

And walked him. Unacceptable.

That's just the kind of night CC was having. Not so much unacceptable, but more that it's unexpected from him.

3 points:

1) Thank goodness for Aceves. Is that going to prove to be a game saving strike out?

2) The game yesterday flew by pretty quick. This one is dragging away.

3) I'm pretty disappointed in the top three batters in the order lately. Not to say they haven't contributed; they have. But lately it has been the 4-9 hitters that have been doing most of the damage. Other than Damon's homerun, what have the first three really done in this series?

Totally random here, but where is Jorge again?! He hasn't been here since June 15th. :-(

Has he been active in Fantasy baseball?

We have to beg Girardi to let Hughes pitch more than one inning, and now it seems he left Aceves in too long.

Too bad Teixeira's long errorless streak is over. 106 games without one.

Live and die by the long ball.

This team has yet to show that it can consistently string hits together. It's a bloop and a blast offense. Unless they change that, it will be a short October; if they make it that far.

Two innings say it all for me. The one where Matsui led off with a double is one. There he is, on second with no outs. 3 batters later, there he still is, on second, and the inning is over. Then in the 9th, two straight singles to put men on 1st and 2nd with nobody out. 3 batters later, the game is over and the runners haven't budged from 1st and 2nd.

They can't move runners. No offense can win in the post season if they can't do that. And its very hard for a team to even make it to the post season when the offense can't move runners over.

CC pitched lousy. Pitching is the reason they lost this game. But whatever happened to the days when the Yankee offense could bail out the pitching on an off night? Long gone, it seems.
