ok, ok - I skewed the voting, just because. Anyway, I think the best that can happen is that Sid pitches pretty well and we deal him for what we really need when the boys get back.

I say he goes undefeated the rest of the season and wins the Cy Young.

I'm thoroughly disgusted that they even considered signing him.

I'm with Karl.

Would anyone feel good winning with this clown? I'm just upset that we even threw him a lifeline.

Ponson is an entitled jerk and I hope Cashman uses him for the double-header and then boots his ass.

Jeff Karstens deserves the chance and, more importantly, has proven he can pitch well in the New York uniform.

It seems to me it's a one or two shot deal, if he gets that far, and then we get IPK or A(2) in the mix.

Aceves won't but up for a while. He was just promoted to AAA, and they already have said they want to see him make a few starts there. I think they are a little hesitant to promote people too fast after what happened with Hughes and Kennedy. But, we'll see. Sometimes need overrides caution.

Aceves is a more experienced pitcher than those two, given his time in the Mexican League and older age (by a few years, anyway).

I say give Aceves, Karstens, even Kei Igawa, a shot before Ponson.

I mean, I just don't get what Cashman's doing. Ponson was decent with texas--maybe Cash liked what he saw there.

I think this is a stop gap measure. All I can say is I hope he keeps the Yankees in the game but that's all. If he doesn't pitch that well he will be gone.
