Here's the quote from our new king Kyle Farnsworth on the pitch that somehow missed the oversized coconut of Ramirez:

Farnsworth said that he believed Ramirez is "definitely comfortable at the plate for sure" against the Yankees. "Any hitter, you gotta show him inside or they'll be sitting over the plate and wear everybody out. Pitching inside for any pitcher is key.

Do you think this is a guy fed up with the 'scared approach' the starter of this game seems to have against the most feared hitter in the RS lineup right now? I think it was a direct knock against Mussina.

At this point, I don't care if they throw at him every time he comes to the plate, consequences be damned.

Hell, we'd save bases by just walking the guy.

The Yankees may be Martinez's daddy, but Ramirez is our daddy right now.

I'll be glad when he's finally out of Boston for good.

We could save pitches, too. Hit Manny with the first pitch, send him to First and save three throws.

Manny has a much better record of hitting against the Yankees than his career average. That means the Yankees are to blame as much as Manny's abilities, for the jump.

The Yankee pitchers don't come in enough on the batters. That is around the board, not just the Saux. Certain players they become far too careful with. Manny is one of those. Pitchers aren't going to hit their locations perfectly, when they are trying even harder to do so, it gives him the pitch he was waiting on. Move his feet. Make him dance. If it hits him, it does. Jeter has learned to cope with being hit by pitches. Manny needs to be taught this.

Umpires need to know tolerance. Bob Gibson and Don Drysdale would have a difficult time pitching today if the first time they came inside too far and hit someone they got warned. Let alone Early Wynn....

Baseball has changed over the years. In this way, and in the way of the strike zone not being called at the letters, I believe that the change has not been good.

I wonder if that change is meant to aid hitting. Having a smaller strike zone, not pitching inside, all things that go against the pitchers and help batters.
