Mauer wins the AL MVP--as much as I might wish a Yankee got it, it's hard to argue that Mauer didn't deserve it. It's also a lot easier not to care about this sort of thing this year than it was back in 06 when Morneau edged out Jeter. I'm not too upset about Mauer getting it either. Now, if the Tw...

Greinke wins the AL Cy Young. I think he is deserving. But I think the voters made the wrong choice. The correct choice was Felix Hernandez. Let's look at some facts. Yes, Greinke had a lower ERA. Yes, he plays for the Royals. But, Seattle wasn't a very good team this year either. And Hernandez stil...

More hardware for the Yankees. Same two guys, too.

Jeter and Tex: Gold Gloves, and now Silver Slugger awards, too.

I would slot them both for the rotation at this point. But, you can't count on them both coming through. Insurance is always nice, especially major league proven insurance (like Lackey). If they do sign another starter, then I would take which ever one pitches best in Spring Training as a starter in...

It was announced today that both Marky-Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter have won Gold Glove Awards. Excellent. I'm kind of divided over which one surprises me more. Jeter had a bounce back year after, arguably, his worst defensive year ever. And who else are you going to pick over him? Um, how about......

I miss baseball already. :( There are several hard decisions that need to be made this off season. Let's list a few. 1) Johnny Damon: I'm not sure he can play the outfield every day anymore. But he showed this year that his bat is a very important part of the line up. Remove him from the top of the ...

Alex Rodriguez really is kind of a nerd, isn't he?
He's got to be really happy right now, though.

I was afraid Pettitte was about to announce his retirement right there. There are no tears here (I'm just not a cryer, sorry), but I would have shed some if he had said that.

Yes! Hit-Deki is the MVP.

Fitting. Absolutely fitting. He was the offense tonight, and had an amazing Series.

They made him work for it. Or, at least, they think they did. But, he's Mo. He was just toying with them. Giving them a false sense of hope. ;)

I spent several minutes dancing around the living room with my son on my shoulders. His first Yankee World Championship. And it will not be his last.

Gardner's two non-strikeouts have been hit hard. The first one Utley had to jump for, and that one went right to Utley.

Who do you think will be the MVP? Tough to say. If Matsui had gone 4-4 tonight with 7 or more RBI, I would say he would definitely have it. Don't really know now, though. He still might get it. He's been the best hitter for either team. May not have the most RBI or HRs for the Series, but he's got ...

McGoober was saying that this is not a save situation. My questions is: why not?

5 outs to get, a 4 run lead. More outs than runs. Shouldn't that be a save situation?

Gardner = stupid. He was playing that shallow on a guy who hit 34 HRs in the regular season? Moron.
