The Yankees go back to work, looking for postseason win number six in a row.

Is everybody ready? Oh wait, it's a day game and people are working. I'm home and am still not crazy about the time of this game. Why didn't the west coast game get played at night? Okay, I'm done complaining!

Let's take Game 3!!!

And what a way to begin!

This is definitely an awkward start time, but I guess it makes more sense that this one be early than Phillies-Dodgers. I got myself a bag dinner so I don't starve in the middle innings.

I made turkey chili about an hour ago so nobody around here has an excuse to interrupt me. It's on the stove, serve yourself!

Mmm, sounds much better than my dining hall wrap. *Reaches through his computer and into Charmaine's kitchen.*

A lot of pitches thrown, yes, but the Yankees wasted a scoring opportunity there. They're having good at-bats, if nothing else.

Oh good. I can even provide my own bowl.

What's for dessert?

I liked reading this little tidbit of information at LoHud today:

Quote:
The Yankees are two wins from the World Series and six from their 27th title after snatching a marathon Game 2 on Saturday night. They haven’t lost yet in the postseason, and the last Yankees team to win its first five postseason games was the 1999 Yankees – who, you may recall, won the World Series. The only AL team to win its first six playoff games is the 1970 Orioles (who also won the title).

Btw, I'm really enjoying what those guys are doing over there. I don't miss Pete Abe at all, and I think Sam Borden has a better gift for writing than he does, too. If you ever read any of his articles that are highlighted in his first post of the day, you'll know what I'm saying. (Just my opinion, anyway.)

Well, I wanted to make pumpkin cookies, but alas, not enough time, especially if I wanted to frost them, which makes them more yummy. :-)

Smilin' Sam is certainly less snarky than Pete.
I've got Nathan's all-beef dogs on Martin's Potato Flour Buns :-)
With Bud Light & Clamato [con sal y limon] Chelada... Mmmmmm
Andy is certainly looking dandy so far.
Dessert? Almond Pralines [A.P.: Get it? hahaha]
Meanwhile, good AB's against the Weav [whom I cannot stand, BTW]
In a while, we will break through.
I just visualised that GiDB on Kendry, so I am now visualising bashing Weaver ;-)

Aw, too bad. I could have done with a frosted cookie.

And I agree with you on Sam Borden; I always enjoyed him when he did the Daily News 5th on the radio. Pete Abe got on my nerves occasionally too, though he was definitely funny.

That was a weak inning, but remember, Weaver is pretty good, too.
How about that little dance by Tex on dropped strike three?
Mincing lil' steps ;-) hahaha
