The thing is, the Rays have been so bad for so long, that eventually all those first round draft picks paid off. Any team can be really good if they're really bad for long enough, but around here, rebuilding is forbidden. I keep thinking the Royals will get out of the cellar one of these years, but they haven't gotten there yet. The Brewers may finally be on their way to the promised land, after going nowhere for the last decade-plus.
Very true, Fred.

I don't mind so much seeing the Rays in first place. It's better than having the usual first place team, isn't it?
I'm not sure, they're kinda as annoying in the way they're going about it at times.
Wow, I didn't know you were still alive in these things.
I know Florida has never had much of fanbase, even when the Marlins were winning the World Series. But it's nice to see someone else getting into the act. This division has been about the only constant over the last decade, and for some it gets stagnant. The AL West has been won by each team at least once since 1999. Same with the NL West. The Braves won the NL East over and over, but at least the runner up was a revolving door. The NL Central always seems to be winnable. The AL Central has been basically everyone but the Royals contending. But for the AL East, it's been a two team race for what seems like forever. It was even the exact same order of finish from 1998-2003.
I know the Orioles once had a great Franchise, and the Blue Jays had that run in the early 90's, but I wasn't very tuned in to baseball yet.
